Facilities

Our magnificent, 45-acre, collegiate-styled campus for grades 9-12 is located at the West Sam Houston Tollway and Kempwood. Opened on August 4, 2000, the first phase of the campus included classrooms, administrative office suites, science laboratories, library, courtyard, multi-purpose room, practice field for football and soccer, and a fiber-optic gigabyte network providing state-of-the-art technology and worldwide connectivity. An athletic complex was completed in December 2001, which includes a soccer field; stadium seating for track, football, and soccer; gymnasium for volleyball and basketball; weight and athletic training rooms; drill team and cheerleading studio; multiple locker rooms; and two concession stands. In the fall of 2002, additional student parking was added to meet the long-term needs for an enrollment of 500 students.

The Mustang Corral was completed in August 2005. This outdoor pavilion extends from the Gymnasium into the center courtyard and includes ceiling fans, lighting, and tables and seating for 100 people. It is the perfect place for eating lunch, DOG Night (Dinner on the Grounds) and other campus events.

The Pampell Family Chapel was completed in December 2005, and a special dedication was held at the first student chapel service on January 11, 2006. The chapel seats at least 600 people, and it has audiovisual equipment that is required for the contemporary services our students enjoy leading. Additionally, the chapel is designed acoustically for choral performances, so our students can sing praise each week, and for concerts. The seating can be rearranged or removed, which will allow our drama department to hold dinner theater performances in the chapel. HCHS is truly blessed and grateful to the generous donor who made our chapel possible.

The state-of-the-art performing arts center, along with the auxiliary gymnasium, tennis courts, and two courtyards, complete another milestone in development of our beautiful campus. The campus will include a student center, theatre, softball field, baseball stadium, and maintenance facility in years to come. Houston Christian's approach to programs and services enriches the lives of students by ensuring an exemplary environment.
