Q. How is financial aid determined?
A. Financial aid is awarded based on financial need. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, or ethnic background. Financial need is calculated using the School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) Report of Family Contribution. Each applicant’s family completes a Parent’s Financial Statement (PFS) form. We recommend this form be completed on-line by going to www.nais.org/financialaid/sss. If internet access is not available, the form can be mailed directly to SSS for processing. Unusual circumstances not reflected on the PFS are also given consideration.
A. The Financial Aid Committee reviews all completed applications and awards aid based on funds available for financial aid each year.
Q. Is my personal financial information kept confidential?
A. All information provided with the application is kept strictly confidential and reviewed only by the Financial Aid Committee.
Q. How can I get a financial aid application packet?
A. You can download the application from the website and file the PFS on-line, or you can pick up forms from the Business Office beginning in December prior to the academic year for which aid is requested.
Q. When is the application due?
A. Complete application packets submitted by February 28 will be given first consideration. Applications received after February 28 will be considered only if remaining funds are still available.
Q. What is a complete application packet?
A. The following is required before an application can be considered by the committee: (1) the applicant has been accepted by the school (2) the applicant has returned their signed contract for reenrollment with the tuition deposit (continuing students only), (3) the Application/Reservation Fee has been paid, and (4) the financial aid packet (including the report from the SSS) has been received by the school.
