How to Apply
Houston Christian High School seeks to attract qualified individuals of diverse backgrounds to its student body. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender or ethnic background in the administration of its educational or other school administered policies. The school offers three diplomas: a Distinguished Advanced Placement (AP) Diploma, a Recommended Diploma, and an Academic Diploma.
Admission decisions will be decided upon by the Admissions Review Committee (ARC) and will be based on report cards (showing academic and conduct marks and attendance records), confidential teacher recommendation forms, results of the ISEE testing, student/parent interview and availability of classroom space. - Non-refundable $75 application fee
- Recommendation form from current Math and English teachers
- Copy of birth certificate
- Current report card
- Year end report cards for previous 3 years (including standardized testing when available)
- Current immunization record
- Copy of custodial rights required for applicants of divorced parents
- ISEE Test Scores
All information listed above must be received prior to review by the Admissions Committee.
ISEE Testing
The ISEE is a nationally normed, standardized test held at sites throughout the Houston area (including HCHS) at an additional cost above the application fee. An application/registration form for ISEE testing is available in the HCHS Admissions Office. Parents are responsible for all registration and payment directly through the ISEE organization.
