Crenshaw Fine Arts Scholar

- Mrs. Ann Crenshaw and Kristin Kingsbury
Mrs. Ann Crenshaw, Director Emeritus of the HCHS Concert Choir, provided leadership and excellence in our choral department for over 20 years. She led our students to 20 consecutive TAPPS State Championships. She tirelessly devoted her life to teaching students to reach their potential musically and to extend their gifts for the greater good of the community.
To ensure that Mrs. Crenshaw will always inspire excellence in fine arts at HCHS, the school established the Ann Crenshaw Fine Arts Scholar Endowment. Each spring, HCHS will celebrate Mrs. Ann Crenshaw and her commitment to the arts by awarding this merit scholarship to a current HCHS junior in recognition of excellence in the fine arts - drama, choir, band, art, or a combination of these interests.
2007 Recipient - Kristin Kingsbury
2006 Recipient - Maren Weinberger
2005 Recipient - Marcy Elliott
2004 Recipient - Mitchell Hester
2003 - The inaugural Ann Crenshaw Fine Arts Scholar is Shannon Jurkoshek. Shannon received a $1,500 monetary gift to be used toward HCHS tuition, college, or senior year fine arts expenses.
